Itaca and Farbenpunkt signed strategic agreement

With this new solution Itaca simplifies textile production processes by eliminating pre- and post-treatment, reduces water consumption by 70%, energy by 81% and reduces CO2 emissions by 80% compared with acid/reactive digital printing.

From now on, Itaca, present in 20 countries, will supply and globally commercialise its new value proposal for the home, fashion and direct-to-garment (DTG) textile market segments by adding this new disruptive technology to its family of digital pigmented inks.

Itaca, a founding company of the Altadia group, has a more than 40-year track record in the ceramic colours and pigments manufacturing market and more than 20 years experience in digital ink printing. Constant innovation has currently made Itaca a global reference in the textile digital printing sector, the company said.

Meanwhile, Farbenpunkt said it has positioned itself in the market as a preeminent company based on the excellence and quality of its technical solutions for the textile industry and on the contribution of sustainable textile printing solutions.

The agreement is grounded in the expertise and disruptively innovative character of both companies, as well as in their common concern for the well-being of the planet, the companies add.

Itaca has now become the global player of the Farbenpunkt PeractoJet inks to continue to offer the market high-quality, unique products and solutions, with customer-oriented service and excellent technical assistance anywhere in the world thanks to its global network.
