The Kingpins Show returned to New York City on July 23–24, 2025, bringing together global denim professionals at Pier 36, Manhattan, for two days of inspiration, innovation, and industry collaboration. This edition stood out for its expanded focus on sustainability, storytelling, and the introduction of a new section dedicated to Japanese denim mills—a move that reinforced the show’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
For the first time, Kingpins New York hosted a curated area spotlighting Japanese manufacturers such as Ideablue, ICE, Rainbow Textiles, Japan Delivery Service, and Reflos.
These mills presented premium denim fabrics that blend tradition with advanced manufacturing, reflecting Japan’s influential role in shaping global denim trends.
The Jeanius Hub, Kingpins’ innovation zone, returned with an impressive lineup of exhibitors pushing the boundaries of sustainable textile development.
Companies like LAB Denim, Circ, Circulose, and COLOURizd showcased solutions in circular fashion, chemical-free dyeing, and recycled fibers—underscoring the industry’s urgent shift toward more responsible production.
In addition to the exhibition floor, the show featured educational programming including the “Denim 101” panel. Experts from Cone Denim, Freedom Denim, and Proximity Manufacturing led in-depth discussions on denim history, weaving techniques, and the future of American manufacturing. A highlight of the event was the launch of American Denim: The Supposed Final Days and Resurgence of a Manufacturing Icon, a book by Evan Morrison with photography by Matt Sharkey, chronicling the legacy and revival of the iconic White Oak mill.
With a strong focus on sustainability, heritage, and innovation, Kingpins New York 2025 proved itself once again as a vital platform for shaping the future of denim. The show not only facilitated sourcing and networking but also empowered brands and mills to align with the values driving the next era of fashion.
