Heimtextil, the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles will start the new season as the first event of the year from 10 to 13 January, 2023 with over 2,400 Exhibitors from 50 countries. The largest ever participation from Pakistan will take place at this Heimtextil with over 260 exhibitors. This makes Pakistan the 4th largest country at this event and a large number of visitors from Pakistan will also attend.
Pakistan has a huge participation in hall level 10 with bed linen, kitchen linen and towels. TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) will also have the largest pavilion at this show. New product areas such as decorative fabric and cushions from Pakistan have also started exhibiting with Habitt – IBL Frontier Markets exhibiting in hall 6.
Mr. Arif Ehsan Malik Former Chairman All Pakistan Bed sheets & Upholstery Manufacturers Association (APBUMA) said “We also use this show to keep tabs on what’s happening in the textiles industry regarding new designs, styles, sustainable product developments etc. We also collect information about potential suppliers to sale our goods”.
In 2022 the special summer addition of the Heimtextil the top ten visiting countries were Pakistan, Turkey, Italy, Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Poland, Spain, India and Portugal.
Heimtextil is once again organizing the “New & Next University Competition” exclusively for national and international universities with a focus on textile design.
From Pakistan Indus Valley School won the “New & Next University Competition” and they have been given opportunity to present their work at Heimtextil 2023. They will be given a free fully decorated booth in the Textile Design area of 9.0.
Alongside Pakistan, Eighteen Bangladeshi companies are set to take part at the The four-day Heimtextil fair. The Bangladeshi companies participating in this year’s fair include ACS Textiles Bangladesh Ltd, Karupannya Rangpur Ltd, Momtex Expo Ltd, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd, Neel Nagar Industries Ltd and Shabab Fabrics Ltd. With The ACS Textiles booking the largest pavilion for an Asian company in the festival.
