More speakers are confirmed for the Textile 4.
0 conference. The event is organized by World Textile Information Network (WTiN).
It is the first of its kind event to explore the realities of “Industry 4.0” in the textile industry. In the two day event the industry will share their ideas, opportunities and services that can be leveraged by using IoT and the best practices to enable smart manufacturing.
In a session “From dumb to technology as a service”, Mr Steve Smith of the DPInnovation will reveal how the IoT development are helping the suppliers of manufacturing technology to move beyond the delivery of standalone products and offer a wide range of value-added services. While Yves-Simon Gloy from the RWTH Achen will contribute to a session titled as “Automation and the Workforce.
” This session will focus on the skill that will be in demands and what different kinds of jobs will be under threat when the textile industry will adopt the Industry 4.0.
