Throughout history, Pakistan has been a hub for the production of textiles and textile-based products, including apparel, home décor and more. Not only is the country a large consumer of textiles, but it is geographically placed to be able to supply high-end Western brands with quality textiles.
EFI Reggiani, based in Bergamo, Italy, and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021, has been a long-time supplier of equipment to Pakistani manufacturers. In fact, the first Reggiani printer in Pakistan was installed in 1972! Our work in Pakistan underscores the long history of support and cooperation in textile between businesses in Italy and Pakistan.
Overall, more than 300 Reggiani printers have been installed in 100 companies around Pakistan, and our Pakistani customers has used more than 2.5 million tons of EFI Reggiani ink. Digital has continued to be a strong and growing market in the country, with many businesses operating more than one EFI Reggiani digital device.
Being an innovative textile community, leading Pakistani producers are also quick to adopt the newest digital technologies. This not only improves their competitive positioning but opens the door to new types of products and services they can provide.
Most notably, there are three of Reggiani’s newest high-production digital textile printers installed across four companies in the country. The three EFI Reggiani BOLT single-pass printers operating in Pakistan can print complex, high-quality fabric patterns at up to 90 linear metres per minute. Pakistan is already responsible for printing nearly 70 million metres of fabric using EFI Reggiani BOLT printers.
Pakistan is also becoming home to the brand-new EFI Reggiani HYPER, the world’s most productive multi-pass industrial textile printer. Two HYPER printers, which were only launched in September 2021, have already been sold into Pakistan.
This printer can produce up to 20 linear meters per minute and is available in a 3.
4-meter size that makes it ideal for the production of textiles, from apparel to décor.
