Pentek Textile Machinery Srl way to better performance and sustainability

Pentek Textile Machinery Srl is an Italian machinery manufacturing brand founded in year 2000. Focusing on the production of technology for added value fabric preparation and finishing, its entire product range is 100% designed and manufactured in Italy. With a global sales network of 45 agencies, it exports 60% to Asia, 20% to Europe and North Africa, 20% to the Americas.

As part of the expansion plan, Pentek Textile Machinery has recently moved into a newly built manufacturing facility in Prato, Italy, centralizing the production of both wet and dry processing machines, over a 6000 sqm manufacturing area.

Wanny – Let your fabric flow in continuous!
Wanny is a modular continuous rope washing range suitable for both knits and wovens. Officially introduced during ITMA 2015 as a revolutionary system for fabric after print / after dyeing washing, it also represents a perfect tool for fabric preparation, from continuous desizing to full bleach, eventually combined with enzyme washing.

The keypoint of Wanny operation lies in the fabric’s back and forth motion, called “Active Wash” (International Patent), and the related handling of the fabric inside the machine. The final quality of the product is enhanced by its gentle action in rope form, avoiding undesired tensions, often resulting in a less than ideal performance on stability and hand-feel.

Wanny innovative system and “Active Wash” allows a far greater fabric passages through the overflow nozzles (from 5 to 10 times more than a discontinuous machine). The dwell time combined with the intense exchange between water + chemicals allows the activation of treatments that would be impossible to replicate in conventional continuous washing ranges.

Thanks to more than 50 installation worldwide, Wanny technology has been exploited far above the original intended purpose and it’s now proposed to the following various applications:
– Preparation for printing / dyeing: desizing / scouring, half-bleach, full-bleach, enzyme wash, PES weight reduction
– Washing after dyeing: reactive washing of natural fibers, reduction clearing of PES, yarn-dyed scouring
– Washing after printing: reactive, disperse, acid prints
– Various washing applications: shrinkage mill-washing for wool, neutralization washing, softener washes

In order to provide an extended flexibility among various applications, Pentek offers the possibility to combine different modules into a customized Wanny line, which can feature one or all of the following:
– Quick Module = designed for removing unfixed colors and print binders;
– Chem Module = designed for chemical processes;
– Wash Module = designed for neutralization and rinsing process;

Wanny Sprint model is specifically designed for after print fabric washing. The special and extremely innovative Quick module guarantees an efficient removal of the unfixed dyes, before the high temperature soaping  step, thanks to a very “quick” back and forth fabric motion, and always above the water level.

The technical package of Wanny translates into particularly low water and energy consumptions, while at the same time allowing a great space reduction due to the compact and modular design.

EnAIRgy – Turn your EnAIRgy on!
The continuous open width tumbler, Pentek EnAIRgy, is the energy of air applied to the fabric. It’s all about superior fabric enhancement while drying, in order to gain substantial quality, adding softness, bulkiness, stability and visual changes in a repeatable way. Thanks to the refined airflow generation and control, there’s no risks of abrasions, crease marks or lack of uniformity during the process.

Choosing EnAIRgy means tailoring a personal creative dimension, while positioning the production outside of the strict price battle. EnAIRgy is the most flexible and performing continuous tumbler on the marketplace. It’s generally utilized during the last steps of finishing processes, right before inspection and packing, commonly on dyed, printed or coated fabrics.

The system is built with four effective international patented technologies, including:
– Relax & Crash mode
– Adjustable tunnel width
– Double rotating grid patent
– Senso automatic fabric store control

EnAirgy technology can be used on all the range of apparel and home textile fabrics, from lightweight Fashion Apparels, to Shirting & Linen, Denim, up to Terry towels. While it’s normally utilized for the creation of hand-feel enhancement, drape, softness and volume pop-up, it represents an excellent choice as a production work-horse for particularly heavier fabrics, with high contents of moisture such as terry towels.

A machine which talks fabric quality can only be manufactured with uncompromised quality standard and components. Following over 1000 EnAirgy installations worldwide, Pentek offers not only a consolidated technology through the years, but more than that, it has repositioned continuous tumbling in the light of sustainability, with an optimum balance point between productivity and running costs.

DreamAIR – Let your creativity bloom!
Pentek’s DreamAIR, a modular continuous range for chemical processes, is the pinnacle of wet finishing effects applied to woven fabrics, which require high mechanical action.

Enzyme treatment, fibrillation, weight reduction, wash-down effects, conventionally done on discontinuous equipment, can be replicated in continuous with no batch to batch variation, in a much more economical and industrial way. The combination of intense mechanical action and chemicals within a continuous process, moves forward the finisher’s creativity, setting DreamAIR as the new benchmark of added value finishing. Especially effective on cellulosic natural or artificial fibers, such as cotton, linen, lyocell, cupro, with or without elastane, it can cover the majority of washing effects required by the fashion industry, in a repeatable way.

The action of water has been engineered in such a way that it reduces energy consumption (50-60%), and chemical requirements (50%) for the same effect that is achieved in conventional process.

The mechanical action is done with the help of air. The combined action of air pressure and impact on stainless steel grids moves the fabric structure and maximize the performance of chemicals. The alternated motion generates a high frequency of impacts (each 25-30 seconds), at least 6 times more than conventional discontinuous processes with no defects.
