Sviluppi technology Tessili, an Italian research and development hosiery manufacturing, exhibited Pesafil automatic yarn weighing system for the first time at FIMAST.
Pesafil is the ingenious innovation of Gizetta. This patented technology is usable in many textile machinery applications but currently focuses on hosiery and seamless technology.
It comprises of a central processing unit which monitors in real time, up to 30-40 yarn positions on a knitting machine, each of which has a weighing scale. While the machine is in operation, each yarn package is weighed and the tech memorizes values through the bespoke software and conveys them to a database processed by Pesafil’s computer system.
Weighing scales are like small brackets which are positioned under the yarn package holder and the system operates in standard temperature and humidity conditions. Each scale is able to handle packages up to 7kg in weight and +/- 0.10g accuracy is claimed.
Advantages
Pesafil saves time, approximately 80% on a sample. It can determine exact quantities of each yarn used in a sample. It allows proper planning and costing of production based on accurate sampling data.
