The Value of Cotton in the Circular Economy 2021

Better Cotton Initiative are delighted to be launching a new Cotton Sustainability Digital Series for 2021. Sessions and speakers originally curated for the in-person 2021 Global Cotton Sustainability Conference will now be coming to you live online, at more accessible rates and times across the entire year.

Connect with industry leaders and experts to explore the entire cotton value chain. Episodes will focus on topics including climate action, innovation today and social sustainability. On Thursday 11 MarchBCI will be joined by Nicole Bassett, Co-Founder of the Renewal Workshop, to explore circular businesses in play and their benefit to resource reduction and long-term sustainability. We will also dive into the questions that arise on how circularity might impact the cotton sector and cotton farming communities in the future.

Nicole Bassett is the co-founder of The Renewal Workshop, a circular business that is leading the apparel and textile industry towards circular business models, restoring value and reducing waste.
Prior to this, Nicole’s passion for environmental responsibility and human rights in consumer products saw her work with organizations such as prAna, Patagonia and Specialized Bicycles.
