UK-based fashion brand putting Earth ahead of Fashion

House of Sustainability has been serving nature since it was born 35 years ago. It is a fashion brand that combines design, ethics, modern technology, and production under one physical roof to create carefully considered clothing for lovers of luxury knitwear. Each piece is knitted from the finest, natural, sustainable yarns with zero waste at the House of Sustainability to minimize environmental impact and make the planet cleaner for future generations.

House of Sustainability has always been committed to designing and making for longevity. The brand is promoting nature over Fashion, and yet it is the icon for luxurious Fashion. The beautifully crafted, high-quality jumpers are made to last and will biodegrade naturally when they finally reach the end of their life. The luxurious knitwear is made from the best natural, organic, and recycled yarns, all sourced from the finest mills in the UK and abroad. House of Sustainability keeps its environmental impact to a minimum by designing, manufacturing, and shipping all from our small, family-owned factory in the Heart of England.

The remarkable aspects of the House of Sustainability include:

  • ‘Absolute Zero Waste’ knitwear
  • A Transparent Supply Chain
  • 100% British Wool Yarn
  • State-of-the-art Japanese 3D Knitting Machines
  • Utilization of Recycled Cashmere & Merino Wool

Recently awarded SEDEX certification, the House of Sustainability is proud of its status as a business that operates responsibly and sustainably, protects its workers and sources ethically. The brand uses a luxurious and sustainable combination of recycled cashmere and Merino wool, is certified by the GRS (Global Recycle Standard), and has RWS certification. This guarantees that the wool comes from farms managed according to strict criteria oriented to the animals’ welfare and the reduction of the environmental impact.

Recycled cashmere is made from a combination of industrial fabric waste, blended with virgin cashmere fibres. The ultimate in luxury yarns, cashmere is exquisitely soft and approximately three times warmer than sheep’s wool. When blended with fine, soft wool from the Merino sheep ‘Ecowinter’ offers warmth without overheating the wearer and a super-soft feel.
