Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week kicked off in Canada

Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (VIFW) kicked off in Canada that would continue until December 1.
Veteran Indigenous designers such as Dorothy Grant and Yolonda Skelton besides Rhonda Johnson, Candice Stevenson, and Ingrid Brooks showcased garments soon after the signature Red Dress Gala resumed at Queen Elizabeth Theatre after a break of two years due to COVID-19 restrictions.

This is the third edition of the event, which was launched in 2017 by its founder Joleen Mitton to promote indigenous fashion talent. As many as 32 native fashion designers are participating in the show this year. Meanwhile, musical performances by The Wolfpack, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Soul Shakers, DJ O Show, DJ Kookum, and more would be the added flavor of the event.

The event is grabbing the attention of fashion lovers in a fast-changing trends atmosphere.

The event will keep focusing on the indigenous talent of Canada in the field of fashion design. A large number of fashion amateurs will get together to mark the occasion. A salient feature of the event is to highlight talent through fashion, therefore, every evening has been designed to discuss and showcase in detail the artistic aesthetics of 11 fashion designers.
