Dr. Idrees Ahmad Nasir, Senior Researcher of Punjab University Center of Excellence in Molecular Biology has said that new technologies need to be used for the creation of top-notch cotton, which would assume a significant job in fortifying the economy of member nations of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
He was addressing an online five-day worldwide workshop as a coach organized by Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), an auxiliary organ of the OIC.
The instructional class titled “Use of Advanced Technology for the Enhancement of Cotton Productivity” has been held inside the framework of SESRIC’s OIC Cotton Training Program (OIC-CTP) to help the officials and specialists from Mozambique Agricultural Research Institute (IIAM) and Cotton Research and Seed Multiplication Center of Namialo (CIMSAN).
The course depended on coordinated learning and guidance approaches.

Antonio Chamuene, IIAM Director and various cotton researchers took an interest in the workshop.
Prof Dr. Idrees Ahmad Nasir gave definite talks on an increase in the production of top-notch cotton and proposed different measures to adapt to different infections harming cotton creation.
He additionally featured the significance of the cotton crop for elevating the country’s economy of the OIC part states by receiving present-day developments in the field. SESRIC Director General Dabur said that the course was planned for giving bits of knowledge into expanding cotton efficiency, utilization of trendsetting innovations on cotton, and impacts of biotic and A-biotic factors on cotton crops.
