After a gap of 3 years since its last edition in Hong Kong, the world’s leading and international trade fair for the leather industry, APLF is set to return as a special edition in Dubai, UAE, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from March 30, 2022. Additionally, APLF will also work with the Dubai Chamber to promote Dubai Expo and APLF Dubai.
David Bondi, Director of APLF, said that Dubai was chosen as it is very well connected as a regional and international transport hub and is easy to get to for exhibitors and visitors attending from Asia, especially the Indian sub-continent, Africa, Russia, and Europe. He also said that the flight times from North and South America would also be less than Hong Kong, and all major regions have direct flights.
The organizers estimate approximately 500 exhibiting companies to occupy some 20,000 square meters of exhibition space with 15 national pavilions from Brazil, Egypt, France, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, and the US. To strengthen the visitor promotion campaign, the APLF team is working closely with national leather, footwear and retail associations from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Romania, Russia, and Europe and Africa to organize buying groups to APLF Dubai.
