The Bangladesh government has announced that seven key government entities will be required to adopt the Bangladesh Single Window (BSW) system starting from February 1, 2025.
This move is aimed at simplifying and streamlining the country’s trade processes by ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business.
The BSW system, which integrates various government services and agencies into a single platform, will cover departments involved in trade facilitation, including customs, regulatory bodies, and licensing authorities.
By centralizing services such as clearance procedures, documentation, and permits, the BSW system is expected to significantly reduce processing times and cut down on red tape.
According to government officials, the implementation of the BSW system is a crucial step in Bangladesh’s ongoing efforts to modernize and digitize its trade and logistics infrastructure.
