Founded in Prato in 1957 by Fiorenzo Biancalani, Biancalani Textile Machinery a historic Italian company in the textile machinery industry designs and manufactures 100% made-in-Italy textile finishing machines for fabrics and knitwear. ITM Istanbul 2022 is the first international exhibition, after the last ITMA in 2019, held without any restrictions, and for Biancalani it marked an important new starting point towards new normality.
At ITM, Biancalani focused on the AQUARIA® open-width washing range, and on the new treatments which are made possible by the recent development of this line of machines, such as continuous weight-reduction treatment on polyester, extremely efficient washing after digital printing, and frosted effect on cupro, cupro-like and modal fabrics. All of these treatments can be performed safely in open-width and with low water and chemical usage.
Based on the same working principle of AIRO® and AIRO®24, by using air as a means of transporting the fabric, AQUARIA® can manage to process in an optimal way any kind of textile surface. And the unique and powerful combination of a long dwelling time with strong and controllable mechanical action, and adjustable water level, make AQUARIA® a very efficient washing and wet processing system for any application.
With the expertise in installing more than 1200 AIRO® machines, and with over 500 units delivered so far, AIRO®24 proved itself as the ideal continuation and implementation of the AIRO® principle, which was invented and patented by Biancalani in the Eighties.
The working principle, based on high air speed which transports (and dries) the fabric, shooting it against a specially designed stainless steel grid, ensures defect-free processing of any type of textile surface, with excellent results. The machine design allows a very efficient thermal exchange and low energy usage for all the processes, offering considerable savings in terms of processing cost.
Sustainability has always been at the core of what and how Biancalani produces it. Solutions for fabric treatment, allowing to reach outstanding results with almost no impact on the environment are what they always look for, and Industry 4.0 is also a way to keep every detail under control and further improve the production efficiency. Designing a softening machine such AIRO®24 which uses mechanical action allows for the reduction or avoiding the usage of chemicals, and a washing machine such as AQUARIA® with a very efficient washing thanks to its mechanical action, allows to reduce the amount of water and chemicals which are used, always ensuring perfect results.
