Chinese exports of textiles and apparel totaled US $25.27 billion in December 2023, down a marginal 0.10 percent over the same month of 2022.
Of which, textile export value amounted to $11.21 billion, up 1.85 percent year over year, and clothing overseas shipments touched $14.07 billion, down 1.60 percent over the same month of the previous year.
In 2023, cumulative exports of textiles and garments amounted to $293.64 billion, a drop of 8.06 percent compared to $319.38 billion in 2022.
Among them, textile exports stood at $134.50 billion, down 8.34 percent year on year, while apparel exports reached $159.14 billion, also down 7.82 percent.
