Sustainable Textile Production is the only way to survive in the future. Many companies are showing more interest in sustainable production for the sake of the environment. European fashion is a big industry. It is good news that brands are trying hard to become more and more sustainable. In this regard, recently, 14 startup companies have been identified which are making European fashion sustainable. Among these, Sweden’s Material Exchange has raised €5m from Norrsken VC and others to make the fashion industry more transparent.
Only a year since the launch, Material Exchange is working with 400 material suppliers and 50 fashion brands, such as Calvin Klein, Uggs, and North Face. Apart from Material Exchange, its UK-based competitor Supply Compass has also seen an upswing in business during Covid. The list of companies are:
– Material Exchange
– Supply Compass
– Circularise
– Trustrace
– Renewcell
– Infinited Fiber
– Worn Again Technologies
– Jeanologia
– Vestiaire Collective
– Vinted
– Thrift+
