Testex upgrades Indonesia’s PT Simut Sakti’s Eco Passport certification

Swiss Textile Testing Institute Testex upgraded Indonesia-based PT Simut Sakti’s Eco Passport certification from ZDHC conformance level 1 to level 3, as well as due to the implementation of the ZDHC Gateway Chemical Module.

“PT Simut Sakti is one of the few companies worldwide to have both OEKO-TEX Eco Passport and Standard 100 certifications,” Testex said in a press release.

Testex added that the Eco Passport certifies PT Simut Sakti’s solvent, rubber, and water-based inks, while the Standard 100 certification, certifies its PT Ungaran textile printing products.

As an approved ZDHC certification standard, Eco Passport complies with the latest ZDHC MRSL 3.1 and ZDHC conformance levels 1, 2, and 3.

Testex as the approved solution provider can give the best assistance for companies who want to comply with the ZDHC standards using the OEKO-TEX certification scheme.

“Global garment brands who commission PT Simut Sakti to print their textiles benefit from the certification, and so the finished garments and accessories can be awarded the Standard 100 certificate,” Testex stated.

OEKO-TEX Eco Passport is an independent certification system for chemicals, colorants, and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry.

Testex developed the basic Eco Passport concept in the early 1990s. Since then, it has gone on to become an integral part of OEKO-TEX.
