The February edition also saw the return of Chinese exhibitors’ three years. The number is 450 out of 750 exhibitors. Companies from all sectors of textile were present that included weavers, knitters, and apparel manufacturers showcasing their products to international buyers. Indians, Indonesian and Bangladeshi companies also made their presence felt. Turkish exhibitors numbering 122 were second to the Chinese as far as the number of exhibitors is concerned. The proportion of foreign visitors was 85 percent a significant increase from 65 percent a year ago.

French being natives remained the most important presence, but Italian, Spanish, English, Turkish, and Dutch buyers were among the Top 5 foreign visitors, relegating Germans and Americans. Renowned global brands such as the Inditex group, Marks & Spencer, C&A, River Island, Mango, and ASOS were present and were keen to negotiate contracts for the next season.

Buyers, now mainly sourced from Asia and the Mediterranean after high inflation in the developed world, were pleased with the presence of so many exhibitors from their regions of choice. The buyers were satisfied with the quality and collections at the exhibition. To encourage more visitors and exhibitors Texworld Evolution Paris has moved all its July summer editions to Hall 1 of the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre.

This will enable participants with two days in common with the dates of the International Lingerie trade show & Interfilière (2-4th July), platforms that offer a comprehensive range of materials and accessories for the lingerie, sportswear, and swimwear markets.
