The brand value of Pakistan is less than half that of Bangladesh

Pakistan ranks third in brand value in South Asia with a value of $232 billion, India is at the top with $2924 billion and Bangladesh is second with $508 billion. Bangladesh’s brand value rose by a record 37 percent up from $371 billion in 2022, according to Brand Finance, a chartered accountancy firm.

Brand France is regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Bangladesh emerges as one of the fastest-growing nation brands in the ranking, recording 37 percent year-on-year growth says a report published on Global Soft Power Index 2023 by the Uk-based firm. Its brand value is over two times that of Pakistan. Both Bangladesh and Pakistan are predominantly textile and clothing exporters. Bangladesh earns 83 percent of its foreign exchange from textile and clothing while the share of T&C in Pakistan’s exports is over 60 percent.

India topped the brand value list in South Asia with a whopping $2,924 billion producing many other value-added products and the share of T&C in its exports is only 16 percent.

The brand valuation consultancy termed Bangladesh one of the finest economies and rated it as one of the finest examples of remarkable economic development. It is also World Bank’s proclaimed model for ‘poverty reduction’.

Germany, Japan, India, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Italy, and South Korea have consistently ranked in the top 10 of Brand Finance’s rankings over the years.
