Turkey imposes anti-dumping duty on Chinese polyurethane textiles

The Turkish Ministry of Trade recently imposed an anti-dumping duty on polyurethane textiles made in China. Still, it is imported through Bulgaria, France, and North Macedonia to avoid paying anti-dumping duty when directly imported from China.

Turkey had earlier imposed an anti-dumping duty on Chinese-made polyurethane textiles in 2005. Still, even after conducting three sunset review investigations, the country extended the anti-dumping duty in 2010, 2016, and 2023.

The latest anti-dumping investigation on Chinese-made polyurethane textiles, imported through Bulgaria, France, and North Macedonia, was initiated in June 2023, and the final order was passed on January 18, 2024.

Anti-dumping duties of US, $1 per kg, were levied on products involved under tax number 5903.20.90.10.00, and $2.2 per kg were levied on products involved under tax number 5903.20.90.90.00 for polyurethane textiles imported from Bulgaria, France, and North Macedonia.
