Twine Solutions is showcased its new product, the TwineX4, at ITMA Milan 2023. The company has also launched an upgraded version of the TS-1800, focusing on sustainability.
The digital technology is waterless and allows for flexibility and short order runs, according to the company. Twine Solutions’ marketing manager, Adi Mandel, said: “Our product is taking the supply chain by storm and bringing innovation to the next level.”
The TS-1800 is a fully waterless, digital thread and yarn dyeing system that suits a range of applications and has been relaunched for the first time since the previous ITMA in a new and enhanced way.
Twine Solutions’ next generation product, TwineX4, is an industrial machine that supports small and medium batch production and dyes threads and yarn on on-demand, with a production capacity 12 times more than the TS-1800.
The company is developing with the two major trends in the market: Industry 4.0 and sustainability. Mandel said the two go hand-in-hand with digitalisation supporting sustainability.
Twine Solutions works closely with the digital print industry, which has gone through a digital revolution, and Twine wants to bring the revolution to the wider textile industry, particularly when it comes to coloration.
Mandel said: “I think Covid-19 gave us a big boost of understanding in how we can improve our supply chain and how we can become more agile through digitalisation.
She added: “Digitalisation supports the sustainability trends, but I don’t think it should be called a trend, because a trend comes and goes, and sustainability should be a revolution.”
The TwineX4 was installed for the first time in Italy and the company has already had success with selling the machines at ITMA.
