Using only R-TWO™ fabrics by ISKO™, Miles Johnson has released his latest collection of sustainable denim. The sustainable fashion collection was intentionally made with SEASONLESS style in mind. The collection has featured 32 pieces. For this capsule collection, Miles worked side by side with Isko’s research & development team utilizing the Isko.
ISKO R-TWO™ is the latest sustainable evolution in denim. The fabrics included in the new R-TWO™ program contain a mix of reused and/or recycled materials, improving sourcing efficiency throughout the entire field-to-fabric production. The strategy behind the initiative places avoidance of any kind of waste right at the heart of our program, with creative and effective solutions for how to source, reuse, and dispose of any materials used.
ISKO R-TWO™ revolves around the Waste Hierarchy. The Waste Hierarchy sets out the order of priority for managing resources based on their environmental impact. Where waste is completely unavoidable, the company reuse, recycle, or recover wasted resources, including energy recovery. When disposal is the only viable option, it is done in the most environmentally responsible way possible to help recover the energy resources that went into making the product.
Miles is known for being a responsible and environmental design specialist, with a deep understanding of the sustainable approach to design; developing, and improving materials to make sure they are made in the least harmful way. Miles acts on his passion for sustainability and has established himself as a promoter and public speaker on ethical practices in clothing design, and positive, healthier manufacturing.
