The Kingpins Hong Kong Pop-Up was a major event in the denim industry, held on November 21-22 at the HKDC Design and Fashion Centre in Kowloon.
The event brought together a diverse group of exhibitors from Asia, Europe, and the U.S., showcasing the latest innovations in denim design and sustainability.
Attendees enjoyed a range of programming tailored to both business professionals and denim enthusiasts, including insightful panels and a pop-up fashion show. Highlights included “Denim Talks: Future in Sight” by Miles Johnson, discussions on innovative materials, and a session on key pieces from inspiring wardrobes around the world.
The event also featured exclusive initiatives like Kingpins’ One Denim Project, a collaboration with Cone Denim and Tonello that demonstrated the vast possibilities of a single denim fabrication, as well as a curated selection from Shanghai Jingqi showcasing handmade craftsmanship. Local Hong Kong designers were also spotlighted, with six homegrown talents presenting their unique takes on denim. In addition, the event coincided with The Fashion Union’s 8-day “Beauty of Workwear” program, which celebrated the intersection of workwear and fashion. Overall, Kingpins Hong Kong proved to be an unmissable gathering of designers, brands, and denim lovers, celebrating the past, present, and future of denim.
