Al Ameen celebrated its 75th anniversary at IGATEX 2022

Al Ameen Trading Corporation, one of Pakistan’s leading textile solutions and technology providers, has shown a strong presence at the IGATEX 2022 in Lahore. Al Ameen takes pride and has an inspiring history of serving Pakistan’s textile sector with diverse solutions ranging from Yarn to Garment manufacturing. The key representatives from the world’s renowned companies like Groz-Beckert, Tonello, X-rite, Polteks, Monforts, and others. From the booth of Al Ameen, the representatives touched with the coming visitors and industrialists to strengthen the business and help the textile sector for cost-saving and sustainable production.

Al Ameen trading marked its 75th anniversary this year at IGATEX 2022 and celebrated the span of four generations with textile manufacturing and technology. Through all the challenges faced, it has stood strong through each adversity. Without a doubt, it has evolved with time and taken forward its legacy of unwavering values and top-notch services to its buyers. At the event, the Al Ameen team thanked everyone for being a part of their journey through their trust and support. Al Ameen has surely created a name for itself in the market and judging by their commitment to the textile industry, it will surely be celebrating many more anniversaries to come.

Al Ameen has a long history of bringing innovative solutions to Pakistan. The first GRAF state-of-the-art workshop was arranged by Al Ameen 43 years ago. Al Ameen introduced weaving machines in 1947, chemicals (dyes and pigments) in 1948, textile processing (dyeing, printing, and finishing machines) in 1954, spinning machines in 1979, knitting machines in 1989, garment technologies in 2005, embroidery equipment in 2011 and technical textiles in 2016.

The company also deals with pallet and material-handling equipment. Al Ameen was the first to introduce a spinning machine in Pakistan. In weaving, Al Ameen installed the widest loom of 5.4 meters of fabric width in the country. The group is the largest dyeing and finishing machine seller in the country.

The first continuous largest dyeing plant was installed in 1965, and the first rotary printing of Zimmer was introduced in 1969 at KTM Lyallpur (Faisalabad) Zimmer. The largest continuous bleaching and dyeing plant by Goller and Monforts was also introduced Al Ameen. Stenter dyeing using pigments for wider width and air-flow dyeing machine with droplet technology having materials to liquor ratio (M: LR) 1:4 was also introduced by Al Ameen.

Al Ameen presented a diverse portfolio of products and services. The big brand representatives were present at Al Ameen’s booth to interact with the customers. At Al Ameen’s space, Monforts focused on the robustness and versatility of the Montex stenter for essential processes such as drying, stretching, heat setting, and coating. With energy prices rising steeply everywhere, features such as the MonforClean system, or the EcoBooster, in which waste heat from the drying process is used to pre-heat the drying air, are proving more invaluable than ever.

Tonello Srl, one of the leading denim machines and garment finishing technologies suppliers, highlighted various technologies for garments, including the Ozone and Obleach at Al Ameen’s space.

Denis Chiarello, Area Sales Manager at Tonello, said, “Denim is becoming more popular globally, and thus, producing denim garments sustainably is challenging. Sustainable garment manufacturing technology, like ozone fading, is getting worldwide attention as it eliminates harmful bleaching chemicals. However, the tone of the garment is not appealing, which is the major drawback. With Obleach, the tone and contrast look amazing. Furthermore,  Obleach eliminates chlorine and permanganate. It respects the fiber of the garments and the planet and is decidedly cool, thanks to authentic, contrasted, and reproducible effects. Moreover, the laser fading technology by Tonello imparts a natural look in combination with ozone without the need for aggressive chemicals. Pakistan is becoming the global leader in Denim, and the future of the denim market is vertically integrated mills, and Pakistan has the potential. Groz-Beckert, the world’s leading provider of industrial needles, highlighted various durable needles and sinkers perfect for the Pakistan Circular Knitting Market. Rassmee Al Dakheel, Area Sales Manager of Circular Knitting at Groz-Beckert, said, “Pakistan’s circular knitted products, especially made of cotton, are popular globally. Our needle and sinker business enjoyed huge success in Pakistan in 2022. Our products SAN™ SF and LS+ needles, are very popular in Pakistan. SAN™ SF increases the intervals between cleaning cycles as it counteracts lint accumulation.
