APTMA will host convention on textile growth

APTMA-Pakistan (All Pakistan Textile Mill Association) is all set to host a convention on textile growth in the second week of July 2017. The meeting will be organized by the textile industry and related associations in Pakistan. The conference will focus on the development of different programs and the policies with an aim to grow the textile industry of Pakistan.

The textile industry comprises of about 60% of the net exports of Pakistan and thus is of great importance. For some time, there are serious measures taken to enhance the development process and the efficiency of the industry to be more competitive and generate more business and economic benefits for the industry as well as the overall economy of Pakistan.

“We want to compete with the regional competitors including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Vietnam for enhancing the county’s export to achieve the target of economic stability and growth,” said Anis-ul-Haq.

It was further said that the implementation of the export package of worth Rs.180 Billion will boost the exports of the textile industry in Pakistan. Expected is that this will have a positive impact on the economic conditions of the country. Mr. Anis-ul-haq also said that the decreased imports on the duty machinery will increase the production of the industry with affordable prices.
