Bangladesh Q1FY’24 Apparel Exports Increase 13%

For the first fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2023, Bangladeshi apparel exports increased 13.07 percent, from a year ago quarter to US $11.61 billion.

Of this, knitwear garment exports climbed 19.70 percent year over year to $6.76 billion and woven clothing shipment ascended slower at 4.97 percent and amounted to $4.85 billion.

For the month of September 2023 apparel overseas shipments totaled $3.61 billion, a rise of 14.46 percent as against $3.16 billion in the same month of the previous year.

But when compared with August 2023, clothing exports in September 2023 dropped by $400 million.
