Two of these workshops were held at Tata Textile Mills (Muzaffargarh) and Ellcot Spinning Mills (Raiwand). The Mill Mastery courses, by CCI, were a wonderful experience which has given an opportunity to the mills’ management teams to learn about the advantages of using the USA cotton and how to utilize the US cotton in the best way, in Pakistan’s environment.

Ihsan-ur-Rehman, Technical Director of Ellcot Spinning Mills had a very positive feedback after a couple of weeks after course with implementing the changes, “We have about 62,000 spindles capacity out of which 20,000 are allocated purely for US upland cotton for last three years. With the help of CCI Mill Mastery™️ Course, we have been able to optimize our process by proper allocation of cotton for weaving and knitting yarns.”

He added, “Now, we are running two different types of blends. For knitting end use, we have narrowed the range of color parameters like Rd and +B, also micronaire value to avoid shade variability/patta problem and for maintaining fabric consistency. For knitting yarns, we started to compromise on staple and GPT. While, for weaving end use we started using longer staple lengths with better GPT wile opening the range of color and micronaire, as the requirement here is the good running performance. By this we can reduce one step our twist multiplier by maintaining the same parameters of yarn strength. This has been giving us very good results in increasing our productivity.”
