Crystal Clear, as the name suggests, is a process that saves water in the indigo dyeing of denim fabrics. The process has been introduced by the denim manufacturer Lee. Unline its conventional dyeing technique, which utilizes chemicals and salts; the crystal clear uses “an organic way” to do the needful.
Crystal Clear represents a significant step forward in the history of denim production at Lee Jeans.
Dyeing with this new technology means no leftover salt in the dye bath, which can therefore be safely and effectively reused. The result is less waste, less water used, and a lower impact on the environment. Moreover, the sustainable method uses less energy, further shrinking the company’s environmental impact.
Lee is an American brand of denim jeans, first produced in 1889 in Salina, Kansas. Kontoor Brands own the company, a spin-off of VF Corporation’s Jeanswear Division
