Considering the number of options available for engineering non-woven with different properties the growth comes without surprise.
The global non-woven product has grown by an annual 7.
7 million tons. In 1997, the global production of non-woven was 2.4 million tons with a value of US billion which grew to 10.
1 million tons with a value of $42.3 billion in 2017.
The data under review represents the growth during 200 years period in terms of ton of 320.8% and in value of over 429% and it is China where the growth has been most rapid.
In 1997, China production of non-woven was 228,000 tons and it climbed to around 3.5 million tons in 2017, which signifies a growth of 1435% in 20 years.
Simultaneously, the acceleration of spun-melt production in China has been even more staggering. From just 46,000 tons in 1997, this has grown to approximately two million tons – up 4,348%.
