With growing awareness and legislation for sustainable production, companies are trying hard in the race for the net-zero campaign. Tonello, one of the leading denim-related machine manufacturers, has introduced software, “Metro,” to help measure the real impact of denim manufacturing.
Metro measures the laundry’s actual water, energy, and product consumption and enables the centralized management and automatic analysis of all Tonello machines.
In other words, it is a digital platform that helps users to control, optimize, and increase the sustainability and efficiency of production processes.

What’s New in Metro?
Metro software is a combination of:
METRO CONSUMPTION that is used to measure laundry’s authentic consumption, including that of machines, garments, and processes. Thus, the users can accurately set their sustainability goals and understand when, where, and how to take action to increase their efficiency.
METRO SUPERVISOR that is the intelligent solution for centralized management and analysis of all Tonello machines: to control production, reports, and maintenance operations, improving performance and productivity.
The innovative working of Metro Consumption
For each completed order, Metro allows the users to view and possibly print the various processing reports:
The consumption report shows the actual data of water and energy consumed for each garment and the calculation of the “carbon footprint” related to the washing or dyeing process; Metro also gives a rating based on the ranges you have previously defined (and which you can change at any time)
The production report where one can enter notes and useful information, such as details on the number of chemicals or tips and reminders for operators
The chemical products report which is actually a self-declaration based on the matches created between chemical products and environmental certifications.
