South Korean textile company Youngone to set up 11 units in India

Youngone Corporation the South Korean company specializing in the production and distribution of outdoor sports and leisurewear, and apparel is set to establish 11 textile units in Telangana, India.

In this regard Indian minister for Industries and Commerce KT Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for Youngone and Evertop Textile and Apparel Complex Pvt. Ltd., in Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP). The company intends to establish 11 factories in the complex that is expected to produce about 21,000 jobs.

Youngone Corporation is a South Korean company that specializes in the production and distribution of outdoor sports and leisurewear, as well as industrial materials. The company was founded in 1974 by Mr. Kihak Sung and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

Youngone Korea has grown into a global company with a significant presence in the outdoor industry. It operates in various sectors, including performance apparel, footwear, backpacks, and accessories. The company has a strong focus on research and development, constantly striving to create innovative and high-quality products.

One of Youngone’s notable achievements is its partnership with leading outdoor brands. It collaborates with renowned companies such as The North Face, Columbia Sportswear, Patagonia, and Under Armour, manufacturing products under their brand names. This has enabled Youngone to establish itself as a trusted and reliable manufacturer in the industry.

In addition to its outdoor and sportswear division, the company produces technical textiles, functional fabrics, and other industrial materials used in various applications, including automotive, electronics, and construction.

Its Indian factories will put an emphasis on empowering women, who are anticipated to make up 80 per cent of the workforce. In the first phase Youngone will initially have four factories that will create 4,000 jobs.

Youngone CEO Kihak Sung thanked the Indian minister for his assistance. He disclosed said that the choice to build a business in the KMTP was made after careful research of Telangana’s potential for textile manufacturing.
