Ecocert is hosting a webinar for trendy and sustainable solutions for the textile industry

In 2019 the world production of fibers was around 111 million tons. This production has more than doubled in the last 20 years and is expected to increase by another 30% by 2030. As a result, the textile industry is the second largest driver of environmental pollution in the world after the oil industry. It is a challenge of our time to develop the textile sector to a more social and ecological industry.

It is already possible today to produce textiles in a more ecological way. Companies can have their commitment in this area testified by certification to an international standard. More and more companies use certifications based on international standards to demonstrate their commitment and to communicate this added value to their customers.

In this webinar, the textile expert Annika Kienle will introduce you to the textile world of tomorrow and will give you an overview of which certification options are available to you:
The textile industry in a few numbers:
• Ecological textile labels
• Recycled textile labels
• Labels for fibers and materials of animal origin

The live webinar will take place at 11:00 am on July 2nd, 2021. The webinar will be recorded and be available for the people afterwards.

Duration: 1 hour, of which 30 minutes will consist of a presentation by the textile expert Annika Kienle and 30 minutes of a Q&A session. Participation in the webinar: Free of charge, registration required.
