FY21 proving to be a fruitful year as Pakistan exports stats show huge growth in all major markets

With the combined efforts of the PM, Ministry of Commerce and trade and investment officers as they did an excellent job in promoting Pakistan’s exports; Abdul Razak Dawood congratulates and applauds everyone for the good efforts that have certainly bore results.

Pakistan has been doing very well even in the adverse time of coronavirus. Even when the world was shut down due to the worldwide lockdown, Pakistan still came out standing on its feet. The proof of this is the increment recorded in the exports to all major markets.

“I’m pleased to share that our exports have done quite well in our major markets,” Mr Dawood tweeted, adding that the country’s exports to China increased by 34 per cent to $2.33 billion during the fiscal year 2020-21 as compared to $1.74bn exports in the previous fiscal year. About 50% of the investment coming in is for China.

Looking at the statistics, “I am pleased to inform that for FY’21, our exports to Australia increased by 33% to $281 Million as compared to $211 Million in FY’20.exports from Pakistan to Germany grew by 19pc to $1.5bn over the previous year’s $1.3bn while exports to the Netherlands increased by 23pc to $1.2bn as compared to the previous year’s $1bn. With a 28pc increase in exports to Poland, Pakistan also performed well by recording $308m export in FY 2020-21 as compared to $241m FY 2019-20. Pakistan’s exports to the US increased by $1.45bn to reach $5.2bn as compared to $3.7bn export of last year. “This is the first time in our history that our exports to the US have crossed the $5 billion mark,” he added.
