Saudi Fashiontex 2026 draws 550+ Companies as Kingdom’s fashion market expands

Saudi Arabia is becoming a more consequential textile and apparel sourcing market as retail growth, local fashion development and Vision 2030 attract suppliers from across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The fourth Saudi Fashiontex Expo, held in Jeddah from September 24–27, 2026, brought together more than 550 companies from 24 countries, highlighting the growing commercial importance of Saudi Arabia’s fashion and textile market. The participating countries included China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Japan and the UK.

From garments to textile technology
The Jeddah exhibition covered yarns, fabrics, ready-made garments, sportswear, knitwear, leather goods, footwear and fashion accessories, connecting manufacturers and exporters directly with regional brands, retailers and sourcing organisations. The organiser targeted more than 10,000 professional visitors, with seminars also covering manufacturing technology, AI in fashion, sustainability and brand development.

The breadth is significant. Saudi Arabia is increasingly developing an entire fashion ecosystem spanning design, product development, manufacturing, supply chains and retail rather than remaining predominantly an import-driven consumer market. In May, the Saudi Fashion Commission signed an agreement with Italy’s MinervaHub specifically to build advanced manufacturing expertise and strengthen local fashion production.

A $36.8 billion consumer market
Saudi Arabia’s Fashion Commission estimated the Kingdom’s fashion market at $36.8 billion in 2025, making it the Gulf’s largest, with projected annual growth of 6.4% through 2029. The sector contributed an estimated 2.5% of GDP in 2023 and supported more than 320,000 jobs.

That growth creates opportunities not only for finished apparel but for fabrics, home textiles, technical materials, accessories and manufacturing technology.

Takeaway for Pakistan
Pakistan’s participation is strategically important. Saudi Arabia offers exporters an opportunity to diversify beyond the EU, US and UK, particularly in cotton apparel, knitwear, denim, towels, bed linen, modest fashion and hospitality textiles.

But the opportunity will increasingly extend beyond commodity exports. Saudi policy is moving towards local manufacturing, brand creation and supply-chain capability. Pakistani companies that combine product supply with design development, rapid replenishment, private-label services and potential Saudi manufacturing partnerships could capture more value.

The next indicator to watch is whether Saudi textile events translate into sustained sourcing contracts and manufacturing investment as the Kingdom moves deeper into Vision 2030’s final phase.
