RDD presents 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁: A jersey fabric collection from fruits

RDD Textiles provides integrated innovative solutions: from new concepts and designs to the final product for global fashion brands. The brand has recently introduced The Harvest Collection. A collection made from fruits. The fibers have been taken from 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 which are tinted with complementary nature-inspired pigmented colors of 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀.

RDD offers jersey fabrics in natural fibers, including organic and recycled alternatives, and new-age artificial fibers or recycled synthetics. Banana fibers can be extracted from different parts of the banana stems, producing exceptional results: tougher (outer layer) or soft and smooth (inner layer). The banana fiber is produced from waste and biodegradable and can be used as a vegan alternative to silk since it is strong, lightweight, breathable, water and fire-resistant, and it dyes and dries easily.

The pineapple fibers were obtained from the waste of pineapple leaves. By removing the leaves from the plant, which can only bear fruit once and then dies, there is a use of material that would otherwise be burnt or landfilled. The result is a 100% biodegradable, renewable fiber that is lightweight, soft, glossy yet resistant, and a good insulator.

RDD releases two influential collections per year, organized in ranges  Contemporary Fashion, Essential, Bluespot and Wellness and also customized transitional drops for RDD’s fashion partner brands.
